Packing my bags, and heading off to adventure in far away lands with passport in hand is one of my greatest joys!
Unfortunately between early morning starts, the dryness of airplane cabins and restrictions on the lotions and potions you can squeeze into your hand luggage, travel can be hard on one’s hair and complexion. So today I’m sharing some of my solutions! Beauty and jetsetting don’t have to be mutually exclusive, I find that some of the most important things are getting enough sleep and drinking lots of water. To comply with the liquid limits on flights I get some small travel sized bottles of cleanser, toner etc. (I really like Simple). For full size products I can’t leave behind, I buy small plastic bottles that I can put my favorites in like my shampoo & conditioner (Coconut Curls by OGX) and Bumble & Bumble Coarse Curl crème. Travel should be a time for a bit of luxury and relaxation so I make sure to include a treat like one of Sephora’s face masks. Whether the sun is reflecting off of sand or snow I always pack a small bottle of sunscreen, I adore Avène SPF 50. For wind chapped lips in goes a little pot of rose scented Vaseline. Toss in Peter Thomas Roth Acne Clear Invisible Dots so I don’t worry about blemishes in my travel photos. One of the big components of my getting ready routine is spritzing on some perfume. Luckily Jo Malone London created a gift set last Christmas with some goodies including a mini bottle of Basil and Neroli parfum, it became my go to travel scent and is so pretty for spring! A solid lipstick and some freshly painted toes and I am ready to hop on a plane! xx
