Part good genetics (thanks Mom & Dad), part products. Today I’m revealing all of what goes into getting a clear, glowing complexion!
My personal philosophy is to invest as much time and funds as I can into my skin care and use minimal face makeup. Personally many foundations make my face feel stiff and heavy and intense contouring never really appealed to me. The fundamental key to good skincare is being hydrated, I carry around a water bottle with me constantly. Secondly, though I am partial to chocolate and champagne, I try not to over do it on the alcohol or sweets fronts (sometimes a girl slips but hey we’re all human) as I find I break out more easily or my skin gets red respectively. I do not and never have smoked, no judgment here but it does have a noticeable effect on skin. With those basics out of the way, let’s get to the fun part: lotions and potions!
I am constantly changing up my skincare routine but I find that no matter which products I use I always have the same formula. Micellar water or other makeup remover to ensure I don’t break out or stain my pillows, followed by a gentle cream cleanser like Vichy’s Pureté Thermale 3 in 1. Then botanical toner of some type, I’ve used ginseng in the past but am currently on a rose water obsession. Sanoflore’s Veritable Eau Florale: Rose Ancienne Bio comes in a gorgeous blue bottle. This is followed by a moisturizer with SPF in the morning or a deep hydrating moisturizer at night. I currently use Vichy for both, their products are seriously magical, and this is my truly unbiased opinion! There’s a reason why healing thermal springs are such an ancient phenomenon and you can see it today in their products. To finish I use rich eye cream, I adore Bobbi Brown’s but it’s difficult to find in France and so have recently tried Clinique’s All About Eyes. Lovelies let me tell you this is pure luxury. For soft lips L’Occitane en Provence ultra riche lip balm if I am putting color on or Smith’s thicker minted rose lip balm for au natural days. I use natural scrubs once a week to create smoothness like Les Officines Exfoliating Skin Care. When I have a free night I put on one of Sephora’s sleeping masks, current favorite is surprise surprise Rose, and watch an episode of Sex & the City before bed.
While my skin is by no means perfect (I tend to get a few hormonal break outs, I have genetically prominent eye bags and get flushed very easily) I am happy with it. Though of course that doesn’t stop me from following all the latest skincare trends and trying out different products- it’s not my fault the packaging is so pretty! Hope you find these products and tips helpful babes, I’m always on the lookout for new products so I’d love to hear what you use in the comments!

Thanks darling. Clinque sells in Sephora and if need be you can get it online. It lasts for ages and so is definitely worth the investment! xx
