Paris: city of light, love and fashion. Longtime home to bohemians and creatives, there is something undeniably magical about its graceful beaux-arts buildings and walking along the Quai Voltaire, watching houseboats bob on the Seine.
Truly dreamy, Paris has been the epitome of fashion, beauty and the ideal lifestyle for me since I first decided I wanted to learn to speak French at 10. So this trip where I met with a summer internship opportunity and explored housing options definitely felt surreal. I am so grateful and delighted to be spending my third year of university studying here. Beyond cementing my fluency in French, I want to immerse myself in this culture that I’ve danced with for so long. While I hope that Paris will always hold some of the glamour that so entranced my 10-year-old self, I look forward to learning this city. Walking its streets, discovering local kept secrets and finding my favorite jardin to sit in and read in the sun. I want to love Paris not just as an abstract ideal but also as someone who lives and breathes it. In short I hope to become an adopted Parisian with all of the chic clothes, rapid fire French and love of pastries, wine and cheese that entails!
