Blustery winds and cooler temps call for clever adaptations of spring style trends.
Just when I thought we had gotten past winter blues, a cold snap came along to prove me wrong. Alas my love of flirty sundresses and off the shoulder tops overcame the reality of Scottish weather when doing my spring wardrobe buy. And stubborn creature that I am, I insist on spending as much time outside, often in charming gardens, as possible. Since gooseflesh is certainly not in vogue I adapted some of my lovely purchases. Topshop's blush floral tank dress is the height of pretty and as it turns out easily converts into a blouse. With lovely tie straps and a flounce in the back it's suitably romantic for this season's trends. Tucked into JBrand skinnies and layered with a cardigan and cargo jacket I was able to satisfy my floral cravings without freezing. J.Crew suede booties (similar) on my feet and my favorite new LEXI Retro pink sunnies on my head, I was ready to head out into the mercurial April day. Since I couldn't teleport to Coachella and soak up some good music and rays, in my pocket went my iphone loaded with bubbly tunes. Walking On Sunshine indeed.
