With sun dappled stone houses and the gull-song never far away, St Andrews this time of year is nothing short of lovely.
The sea is as blue as the sky above and bright, clear days find me strolling along the walk down to Castle Sands. The constant wind plays with my hair, threatening to take off my hat (similar). Scottish springtime calls for a bit more layers than usual, but a midi skirt and leather jacket (similar) topping a striped t-shirt channel the easy breezy chic of warm weather days. There's something so feminine and charming about a long skirt (similar) and I adore the way they swish when I walk. But then I've always had a flair for the dramatic. As a university student a bag is not just an accessory but a necessity and I'm quite fond of my canvas tote from Mary's Milk Bar. An absolute must stop for any trip to Edinburgh, the vintage ice cream parlor sells totes with cheerful neon lettering along with sublime gelato. Although lectures and coursework call, I linger a few more minutes in the fresh air. Closing my eyes and feeling the sun kiss my face, leaving a freckle or two behind.
